5 ways to deal with disappointment (explained in gifs)

As we go through life we're hit with a multitude of highs and lows. Sometimes it feels like a lot of lows, I know. Disappointment is one of those emotions that hits low on the scale, and it's hard to know how to react to and overcome it. He's a rather sad, lonely beast that you can't instantly cheer up with a sachet of cat Dreamies or a chocolate bar. My advice? Have your moment to embrace him (give him a cuddle) and then use the following 5 ways to give old Disappointment a good kick up the bottom…

#1 Pour yourself a lavvvelly cold glass of wine...
I'm not suggesting you drink yourself into a coma and end up crashed out in a skip wearing a 'borrowed' poncho, I'm just saying it definitely takes the edge of a little disappointment...

#2 Fuel your #girlboss tank...
You're feeling crappy I know, but let this energy fuel your determination rather than your disappointment. Don't be found whimpering in a corner with a confused look in your eye, be found working your arse off trying to get back on track...

#3 Do something that makes you happy...
Whatever it is #nojudgement. For me, it's writing this post. For you it might be knitting in the bath...

#4 Indulge in a little retail therapy...
That Zara dress you've been coveting - buy it! Those Manolo's you've wanted for ever? Click SHOP and then hide all evidence in the wardrobe so your husband never discovers them. That metallic fake flower decoration you've be lusting after? Weird...but yes PURCHASE IT NOW!

#5 LAUGH
Seriously, they don't say 'laughter is the best medicine' for nothing. Grab your girlfriends and a few cocktails and sort yourself out (I advise that a chocolate muffin can also be a great tool for this - see below)...
