“The name NINE IN THE MIRROR derives from the idea that for the nine months of pregnancy, women observe their bodies changing as they dress. The mirror reflects your new body, your style, it’s about how you feel and how you want to see yourself”
Adriana Chryssicopoulos, Co-founder
One of my dearest friends is due to give birth to an adorable little boy (the name William has already been chosen) very soon - and this led me to think about the dilemma every woman faces during pregnancy – maternity-wear. Can you still be stylish in maternity-wear? Of course – I say! Especially with NINE IN THE MIRROR – the brainchild of fashion buyer, Adriana Chryssicopoulos and online marketer, Tatiana de Boisanger.
The duo met while pregnant and instantly bonded over the lack of designer fashion for pregnant women, immediately spotting a gap in the market for fashion-forward expectant mothers like themselves. The idea? To hand-pick a collection of designer clothing and accessories that suit that growing bump and still leaves you looking effortlessly stylish. Already stocking many of the industry’s most sought-after labels, the new brand already offers non-maternity pieces from the likes of ready-to-wear brands Valentino, Alexander Wang, Marni, Sandro, Joseph, Loquet London and Emila Wickstead (who has designed an exclusive collection just for the collection – ‘The Expectant Edit’).
AND, if this wasn’t all enough the site also incorporates editorial content that keeps the fashion-forward mother-to-be informed about lifestyle, beauty and baby news – from runway reports, new season trends, celebrity pregnancies, beauty must-haves and expert tips. What’s not to love!
