DEICHMANN X Caroline Blomst

Start the week off in STYLE by dropping in online on the collaboration of the season: Deichmann x Caroline Blomst of fashion blog, Carolines Mode. With a seven style shoe line (each as luxe and stylish as the other) the shoe retailer GIANT and fashion blogging machine, Blomst have delivered a Collaboration Collection effortlessly PERFECT for the new season (and all at the affordable price point’s Deichmann is known worldwide for)…

And, for a little twist on my regular style of collaboration post, I thought I'd treat you to my very own advertising campaign shots of the collaboration, all polished off with the hashtag: #GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT. Because these shoes DEFINITELY ARE.

The Collection

So, why are they #GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT?
Let me explain...

Take the collaboration's Graphic Print Smoking Slipper, £17.99 - it's a CLEAR winner in this season's style stakes. With everyone from the likes of YDE Copenhagen, Chanel and Saint Laurent flaunting a clean monochrome palette (and Guy Laroche, Alexander McQueen and Jeremy Scott showcasing graphic prints) this smoking slipper has nailed this season's trends faster than you can say 'Jean-Charles De Castelbajac.' Its slim-fit and simple design means it's the perfect fashion flat to turn to for SS14. Pair it with everything from this season's ripped-at-the-knee jeans, a pastel A-line skirt or those Maison Martin Margiela shorts you've been coveting. For that ULTIMATE spring wardrobe trend injection pair them with some jazzy print trousers for a print CLASH unlike no other...

For a refreshing change, this season pays tribute to the FLAT. Celine's fluffy 'birki', Prada's hardworking multi-coloured sandal, pool sliders and smoking slippers are all sneaking back onto our wish-lists and into our wardrobes as I speak. The noble trainer is also making a FROW-flavoured FUSS, and Blomst knows it. Delivering the Pixel Print Sneaker, £22.99 to the table was therefore a spot of style GENIUS. Working slick lines and an array of punchy hues - it's the perfect sneaker for pairing with your SS14 sports luxe look. Be inspired by Chanel's graffiti-glam rucksacks, Cara's endless ‘selfie' style and, in a nut shell? DKNY. Team these babies with everything from your patent leggings to that graphic bomber...

After a classic? The collaboration’s Peep Toe with Drop Side and Metallic Heel, £27,99 is the style to choose. These leg-lengthening peep-toes bring class to any LBD or ensemble you’ve chosen to wear (while the metallic heel instantly brings the style into the new season). Look at any Paris Fashion Week street-style right now (namely that on Blomst’s blog HERE) – and you’ll see metallic heels glinting sweetly under the spring sun. Want affordable on-trend heels? These are IT.

Oh Caroline and Deichmann?! What can I say when it comes to the decadent lace silhouette of your Peep Toe Lace Shoe Boot with Ankle Strap, £27.99? Elegant, sensuous but with a rock chick edge - it's the PERFECT shoe for the new season (and my personal favourite). With lace drenching the catwalks for spring (hello Burberry Prorsum) it was with no surprise that the high street followed - and with some SERIOUS APLOMB might I add. With a classic stiletto, the peek-a-boo lace insert is seriously sultry, and ultimately? SERIOUSLY sexy. Pair with anything and everything - from your worn biker jacket to bare legs and a 3D floral dress à la Dolce & Gabbana...

The Peep Toe Shoe Boot with Cut Out Detail, £27.99 is also hovering around the top of my SS14 wish-list. Showcasing simple lines, a charming peep-toe and a liquid silver buckle - these are a real accessory staple for the shoe wardrobe. With glorious stitched detail and a luxe matte finish, Caroline Blomst's shoe boot is destined to be worn with everything from an ICEBERG mini to a pair of Topshop cigarette pants. Talk about STYLISH.

When it comes to Blomst's Pointed Multi-strap Gothic-style Heel, £24.99 - it appears it may be the love-child of a Mary-Jane and a FIERCE gothic court shoe. Born to be worn with bare legs and a tan these will take your office footwear up to an entirely new level. Pair with skinnies or that beautifully tailored trouser suit for a real confidence boost for that up-coming board meeting.

So, you couldn’t quite afford those Valentino Rock Studded Kitten Heels? It’s not a big deal, because Deichmann and Caroline Blomst have brought you the ULTIMATE high-street replica: the Pointed T-Bar Heel with Gold Stud Detail, £24.99. At a mere smidgen of the price, you can flaunt these delights with all the fiery attitude you like. Team them up with this season’s clean-lined, blush pink shift or a pair of serene white shorts and matching jacket for SERIOUS fashion kudos.

So what are you waiting for? It's launching today and there's no time to waste.
