The sport luxe trend is back with a VENGEANCE this spring. Sleek, clean lines, effortlessly slick layers and functional silhouettes (with the occasional insert of cool lycra) were added into the mix from the likes of DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Sportmax on the runway. We're talking about pairing your silk bomber with a cut-out racer-back vest, a billowing DKNY draw-string skirt with the latest pool-sliders, and basically, a lot of simple, clean pieces with other simple, clean pieces…

For me, however, it's ALL about the label, ASHTIANI this Spring/Summer'14. Continuing on with their gloriously luxe, naturally sport luxe asthetic – it's THE brand to turn to to nail this season with. Injected with this season's decadent ice cream pastels, the line is literally EDIBLE. Not only has it already captured the hearts of the fash pack and I, but it's set to capture more, LOADS MORE. The brand's signature use of multi-fabric continues, as does Golnaz Ashtiani’s (the designer behind the brand) fusion of the feminine, the futuristic and classic American sportswear.

Pair minimalistic two-strap sandals with the label’s clean silhouettes, oversized mesh staples and ‘tennis-ready knife pleats.’ Traditional Ashtiani classics are given a new season twist with fresh neon colour splashes and micro-geo jacquards that take on a somewhat reflective quality. The line incorporates luxury fabrics, including the likes of crackled and snake-skin printed leathers, oversized and graphic honey-comb knits and finally, subtle diamond plisses in white and gorgeous coral.

Can’t wait to get this in your wardrobe? I know the feeling.
