If you haven’t come across the luxurious, simple lines of the label ME+EM - their latest collection for Spring/Summer’14 will knock you sideways. Introducing pops of next season’s key hues (from strong cobalt blue to deliciously soft, bubblegum pinks) that sit effortlessly against the brand’s monochrome key pieces, denim staples and signature shapes, ME+EM are right on the fashion money with their new line. Inspired by the iconic tones and graphic blocks of 60’s British artist Bert Irvin, the line brings simple shapes, easy layering and chic tailoring to the table.

I’m completely in love with the return of their classic Layering Shirt which works perfectly underneath anything - from your favourite knit to that summer dress that needs bulking up for winter. Their Boyfriend Jumper is also great for transitioning -between the seasons. Pair it with ripped-at-the knee jeans, a simple shirt or tee and a pair of elegant heeled shoes from the likes of Salvatore Ferragamo or Ralph Lauren (whatever takes your fancy).

The collection’s relaxed aesthetic continues with their Washed Chino in khaki or smoke grey. There’s something very cool about the reliable chino. Whether it’s teamed with a sharp shirt and tucked in, or underneath a racer-back vest for a hot summer’s day – they’re definitely a go-to wardrobe staple. And, this idea of a reliable ‘go-to wardrobe staple’ is something that certainly resonates throughout the rest of the collection. These are classic pieces that are created for more than one season’s wear…
